Covered Sun Film’s latest short film, [un]neighborly is set to premiere on YouTube on Friday, 10/25, just in time for Halloween. [un]neighborly will debut on The Reveel Network shortly after on Tuesday, 11/5.

Everyone’s favorite neighbor Martin has what he perceives to be a strange interaction with new neighbor Gabe and that leads him to making some assumptions. Rather than talking to Gabe about his concerns, Martin begins to let his imagination run wild.

[un]neighborly stars Covered Sun Films co-founder John Manning as Martin, Jack Tomlinson as Gabriel and Trish Leney as Mandy.

The film was chosen in a poll by social media followers of Covered Sun Films and follows the story of Martin and his new neighbor, Gabe.

“We had a bunch of short films that we had written and we thought it would be fun to let our followers select our next project.” Director Wayne Cella told us. “I actually put [un]neighborly on the list to give the fans an extra option. I didn’t really think it would win the poll.”

But it did win the poll, prompting the studio to venture into psychological thriller/horror genre for the first time.

“It’s a very different story than we’ve told before. But we had a great cast and had a lot of fun making the film. I think that shines through in the final product.” Cella said.

When asked if there was the potential for more horror in the future, Cella responded “We actually have an idea for a whole series of suburban horrors. This is just the beginning.”

Next up for Covered Sun Films is a long awaited return to the Talisman universe.
